Had a lovely weekend; enjoyed the Glasto. coverage and the home-made Calzone our friends kindly cooked for us. We went for a cycle ride last night, a good 20miles in the heat, here's an image of my secret fuel! Any chance of sponsorship San Miguel?

Etchings...
Had the opportunity to produce some 'Soft Ground Etchings' yesterday. Love the multi layered effect you get with this technique. I actually used a real gingko leaf, a feather, various leaves and string to produce the effect.

Star Spangled Bangles...
Made a few more pieces that will be for sale at the Worcester Craft Fair on 24th July. Cheap and cheerful star spangled bangles; there's a lot of mileage in pattern on metal and I'm considering making these in silver next, (won't be so cheap though!).

A Little Birdy...
People often say my houses would make good bird boxes, so here's one I've just made for my friend's daughter. (Hole is 25mm, apparently this is the perfect size for Blue Tits, Coal Tits, Marsh Tits, Treecreepers and very small birds! Ref. RSPB)

House Hat
Latest head gear. It's quite heavy, made from an old college work bench; I think it's teak. Would have been nice to hide in this today as I feel pants, (hay fever).

New Doll...
Jo's new masterpiece. This one's called Tomoko, (after a dear old friend). I think it's beautiful, I particularly love the jacket.

I'm on a roll now..
Here's another ring, this time no name, just blossom.
Made from solid silver, etched and soldered. This one's
spoken for too ;-)

Jewellery, jewellery...
I also make rings...This is for my niece's sixteenth birthday. If you know how to read Japanese, you'll know her name.

Robot Army...
More robots; this time, smaller in size, (14cm high). I'm planning on selling these at the up-coming craft fair in Worcester on Friday 25th July, (see flyer below). Worcester really needs this to happen. Worcester needs craft! g.

Busy Bees...
The weather put paid to our outside plans this weekend; to compensate, Jo and I had a creative time indoors! Jo spent, nearly the entire weekend, working on a new rag doll (Picture below of the first doll; pictures of the new one when it's finished). I had a San Miguel, (Spanish Import!) fuelled, Lego building session on Saturday night, the result of which can be seen below...really chuffed with it, what do you think?
