Went to the Bishops tachbrook BMX track this AM; it takes 3/4 hr to get there, but as you can see from the pic below, the drive is worth it. Managed an hours riding before the rains came. Talked to the others about the possibility of racing in a couple of weeks, not really sure though. To be perfectly honest, even the idea of it frightens me:-S

Anna Maria Pacheco's great work is coming to Hereford. What a coup! I really like her style and am looking forward to seeing the wood carvings in person again, (on loan apparently from Birmingham City Art Gallery). There is a talk, taking place next Friday, at the Hereford Museum and Art Gallery Resources and Learning Centre; I shall be going.

My work's going in a new direction...flat. I was getting frustrated with my process, so with the encouragement of some respected friends, I have taken a leap sideways. I'm enjoying scanning in wood and producing collages, like the one below, in Photoshop; might lead towards some screen/block printing too? Who knows, all I know is I've, (to quote a friend) 'got my mojo back'!

Well, had a nice and busy weekend riding the bikes and clearing leaves from the garden, (sometimes, we've no choice but to do adult things). The new 'play track' at Bishops Tachbrook, Warwickshire was alot of fun. We met our fellow Redditch Premiers rider, Tim Drew and a number of other riders, out for a go, on this new facility. Have posted a video and some photos, to give you a taste of how the morning went. The local parish council, who had paid for the track, were chuffed that people were using it and had travelled a fair distance to do so, (4o miles in our case!). Might go back next weekend...
