Flying House Series

These images are of work I have completed over the last twelve months. The flying house motif is one I've not finished with; it has huge design and exhibition potential. I'm currently working on a lego version!

What a Beautiful Day for a Birthday!

Happy Birthday Jo Waterhouse. What a beautiful day for a birthday. What a great day to do anything! I've been to Leamington Spa today to watch the first race of the season for the 4X club. Great days entertainment and nice to catch up with some friends, Benn from Redditch Premiers BMX Club and two friends from Sheffield, Dom and Kim Bent; a really nice, (bike mad,) couple whom I know through BMX racing. The atmosphere was great and the emphasis was on fun and good sportsmanship. I had a couple of goes around in practice and was able to negotiate a couple of jumps I'd been able to do before I was injured...feel like I'm on the mend at last. Now relaxing with a beer and enjoying the fact that it's still light outside :-) (7:28pm).

As usual Dom Bent gets the 'holeshot'.

New Work

Fresh off the band saw! It's 11" high and made from solid oak. I've really enjoyed making this, (and the other three that go with it!) Thanks to Bron and Andy for donating the wood.

Hopalong...

It's been nearly three months since I broke my left leg, practicing at Chesterfield BMX track. It didn't really bother me at the time, (honest) especially as my friends and family went onto make such a fuss of me in the following weeks, (thanks again to you all). However, more recently I've been really frustrated at not been able to do much in the way of strenuous exercise. Since having the cast removed, I've over-done it a little trying to get my back to my original level of fitness. I just love riding my bike and haven't been able to resist riding it over the last two weekends. I must resist from doing so much or I'll not be able to ride, (and more importantly jump) at all.

On a much lighter note, I've been busy making some new work. I'm chuffed with the results so far. The work's more character based and moving towards the kind of work I've always wanted to produce. I'll upload some images as soon as I've taken some good photos.
